Farms and Castles

We got away to the Wairarapa to visit our friends Alison and Barney. We had a great time feeding the animals and catching up. We then headed out top a bach (holiday home) in Castlepoint in a fantastic spot right on the beach. We did lots of walks to the cave and lighthouse. The cave is amazing, with waves breaking on the outside of the reef sending a gale force wind rushing out of the small exit. The surfing was good too!! As you can see from the video we enjoyed the sandboarding.

Holiday trick!

Evelyn discovered this trick for herself and loved repeating it about 50 times! She spent about 5 minutes at a time curled up inside!
Could be useful when we save up enough to head back to Blighty!

Just finished a working bee for the kindy- shifting a huge sandpit full of sand! about 50 barrowloads and 2 skips later we did it. Ev and Ash both sleeping peacefully now, peace at last!!
